Our Mission
The Sustainable Infrastructure Society (SIS) was incorporated in 2005 as a non-profit society in British Columbia.
It is located on the campus of the University of Victoria (UVIC) in Victoria, British Columbia.
It was established with support from the BC Ministry of Health and the Innovation and Development Corporation of the University of Victoria. Our mission is to create and implement programs which provide convenient and affordable access to products and services for community infrastructure organizations.
SIS is a non-profit society which seeks to recover costs of operation through various means. SIS spends money on technical and market research, program development and marketing, and continuing program support services. Revenues are earned from subscription fees, licensing fees, and charges to recover other development and operating costs. SIS operates as a small and effective organization in a way which minimizes the costs of operation.
